Decode Project was created out of necessity. The opportunities that come with the ability to read are immeasurable. It is my belief that equitable access to literacy is a pathway to true liberation and better future for us all!

I love being a part of Decode Project because every child deserves access to effective literacy instruction. Structured literacy is the cornerstone of empowerment, and unlocks the boundless potential within every learner.

Every child derserves the opportunity to learn to read and effectively learn to comprehend what they've read. Families are also entitled to resources that allow them to support their child in becoming successful readers and learners. I am proud to be a part of an organization committed to this work. 

I enjoy working with Decode Project because of the commitment to diminish inequities in education. Literacy not only enhances a student's life but also creates opportunities to assist students on their educational journey.

What resonated with and aligned with my personal values is Decode Project’s commitment to embracing diversity, providing transformative opportunities, and fostering inclusion. Literacy serves as the pathway to knowledge, a bridge that unites minds and hearts, and the bedrock on which innovation flourishes.

From my experiences as a student and educational professional, I know that literacy is the key to unlocking much of the world's potential. Still, many of our students and their families need more access and adequate resources to open doors of opportunity. Decode Project allows its board members and staff to address the issue of inequities in education by providing tools and skills to students to become confident readers by extending their learning community providing acceptance and love, meeting them where they are.

Every child has a right to effective and comprehensive early literacy instruction. Once they get it, it’s theirs forever.

I love working with Decode Project and seeing how they teach reading in such a comprehensive way. Reading is the key to leveling the playing field of education.

I believe that literacy is the basis of everything in the world. From further education to completing everyday tasks, literacy is necessary, and that is why I am so thankful to be a part of Decode's mission. 

Reading to me, means a chance. A chance at learning more. A chance at being more. A chance at exploring more. A chance at knowing more. It’s the basic building block of education. I chose 
to work at Decode Project because It is my duty as a reader and a person to give someone else that chance. 

Being part of the Decode Project is important to me because it allows me to be part of a community that values education and believes in the potential of every child.

Reading is an essential aspect of our everyday lives. It is fundamental to how we communicate and develop a positive self image. I am ecstatic to work with the Decode Project to help foster literacy and create a love of learning.

Reading is a basic skill that allows you to express your thoughts, solve problems, and understand the world around you. Every child deserves that opportunity. 

Reading is important to me because it has so many different uses in our daily lives: as an escape from my stress and worries, to further education, build connections with people, and learn about different walks of life; reading gives us the opportunity to learn about people through their eyes and viewpoints.

I work with Decode Project because I believe reading is truly fundamental. I want to help children grow literacy skills so they can effectively communicate their wants, needs, and goals.

Reading is a fundamental necessity in our society. You need reading for negotiation, to communicate your needs, and to advocate for yourself and your community! So, it's important to ensure that the next generation is equipped with this mainstay skill, especially since we were denied it for so long! Reading is a form of hustling!

Decode has a mission that is so overlooked despite being one of the most pressing concerns. Kids need literacy to help them succeed in every other facet of life, so being able to help means the world to me!

I work at Decode project to champion the importance of literacy in all aspects of life. I hope to potentially make a lasting impact on a little human’s life at such a vulnerable stage of their existence.

No matter the circumstances, all children deserve the gift of reading. At Decode, we give the kids access to creative, interactive and fun ways of learning. I am thankful to be able to impact one kid at a time through this project.

Reading is an essential skill! Strong reading skills open the door to learning about life and our world! I am excited about the opportunity to mentor students in reading with The Decode Project. It is a privilege to give back to young people in this way. It will be joyful to spend time with them one on one as they explore their world through reading.

Literacy, to me, is a skill that is required to learn so many other skills. The Decode Project develops the most important skill while unlocking the potential for children to learn others.

Literacy is important to me because it is the key to the world. It is really hard to understand and progress in life without being literate. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity and the support to learn literacy.

Decode's mission to mitigate inequities through literacy is incredibly important, and I want to support that mission in any way I can. At the Decode Project informational meeting I attended, I was devastated when I learned the number of children who don't have the privilege of being able to read at their grade level. I have lots of experience babysitting, and really enjoy working with kids. I greatly value reading, as it is crucial for safety and communication. In my free time, I also love to read books about nearly any topic and I view reading as an incredible outlet. Decode Project is a great way to combine what I enjoy doing with my values and help create change in our community, and I am beyond excited to be a literacy mentor.

What reading means to me is the access to knowledge, experience and community. I believe the development of written communication is the foundation and growth of our current society: it is the way we connect, express and learn. I joined the Decode Project staff to help grow and mentor the next generation of independent learners and thinkers. I also joined the Decode Project staff to help combat a worldwide problem of illiteracy, by teaching new reading techniques and methods to solve the problem of illiteracy within our community.
